Peach Season at the Market!
July is a great month to shop at the Leesburg Farmers’ Market: Lots of fresh, local peaches — with many vendors offering free samples of each variety. Bring your kids!
We practice what we preach: We bought a bunch of beautiful peaches last Saturday, and now we’re making Peach Rounds with them.Same basic idea as our popular Strawberry Rhubarb Rounds — fresh peaches with cinnamon and vanilla between layers of oatmeal crumb base and a streusel topping.
These are gluten-free and healthy enough for breakfast, but they’re just about perfect for dessert: Heat them up, add a scoop of ice cream … summer in a mouthful.
